Beryl, Emerald & GLX
While I’m waiting for my machine to upgrade I’ve been doing a bit of browsing around and I stumbled across the Beryl project, it’s a fork of compiz and it’s incredible. You know how impressive XGL+Compiz was when Novell released it? Well it’s that impressive, checkout the YouTube (GooTube?) movie below to see what I mean.

Movie Review: Aeon Flux
I’m sorry…
I’ll admit that yesterday’s post was not particularly good, I am sorry and I will try to do better. It didn’t quiet make sense and there are a bunch of spelling and grammar mistakes and well wasn’t my best work.
I apologise and promise to try make up for it, in my defense I do want to say that it was late I wasn’t in the best of moods and the topic wasn’t as gripping as it was when I first started writing it.
No this isn’t my “next big post” but rather a little starter to hopefully get me “into” this whole writing business, it’s alot easier to write something if you actually write something.
I’m doing it again…
I’m building up a collection of half finished posts for this site and not actually finishing any. I’m not sure why I do this.. perhaps it’s because I’m not sure that I want to air that particular dirty laundry or because it’s not “polished” enough or maybe I’m just scared or something. So I’ve come up with a plan…
CraftZine
This one is for my mother… but the rest of you might find it interesting.
I was reading one of my favourite blogs, Makezine when I saw the link to the CraftZine site. CraftZine is very similiar to Makezine but aimed more at arts and crafts, So if you’re interesting in making your own clothes, knitting, scrap booking or any of the other craft like things check the site out. You really need to checkout the blog on the site too, it gives links to lots of cool stuff you can make.
Homemade full size flight sim
I stumbled across this site today and I just had to share it. I know that at least one of my friends (Hello Eduard ;P) will love the idea of having your own real flight simulator in your garage.
Some crazy australian is busy building his own flight simulator, now I’ll admit that I’m not all that interested in learning to fly but I still wouldn’t mind building the simulator. [Found via Makezine]

Heavy Rain and floods in the Garden Route
As I’m sure any of you who live in or come from the Garden Route area know, they recently had some very heavy rains and a little bit of flooding. I thought I would collect together all the pictures I could find and post them here.
