Follow up – Best Job in the World
I’m not sure how many of you remember the “Best Job in the World” site, I posted it here a while back. I came across the guy who got to go to the islands blog today, It’s actually a very interesting read… his time on the island is now coming to an end but its interesting to read back about the things that happened to him.
There are tons of awesome photo’s on the site and if you’re interested in Australia there is lots of cool photo’s and info about it.
Super Secret Project Pt 2
As I explained in Part 1, I’ve been working on a super secret project (Christmas present for my wife).
Don?t worry my wife hardly ever reads this site so I doubt she?ll read all this and anyway she?s unlikely to puzzle out what I?m up too, but because I don?t want her to know what I?m building I?m going to stick to describing the technology and tools I?m using and show snippets of code but try not give it all away.

I think this would be perfect for a little one, no one will mess with you (or complain about your crying kid) if you’re pushing your baby around in one of these, although you may have trouble getting into some restaurants.

Super Secret Project Pt 1
I’ve been working on a super secret project (Christmas present for my wife), the coding for the project has been done in C# using Mono on my Windows Vista laptop, although the plan is to run the code on Linux.

Quickbooks 2006 on Windows Small Business Server 2003
This morning we had a problem and needed to get Quickbooks 2006 running on Windows Small Business Server 2003, after the install we kept getting the following error when you tried to launch Quickbooks.
Error: Quickbooks failed to load required file!
A bit of searching online only turned up one forum entry where someone mentions that they got round the error by right clicking and choosing “Run As” and running it as there current user. Continue reading
Giant Industrial Gasworks Turned into domed indoor town.
I just love the look of this place and the idea of using an old structure to create something new. I wonder if its cheaper keeping the existing structure? In the case of the Gasworks I don’t think this would’ve been done had they not had the gasworks sitting there doing nothing.
