I moved forward.

I moved forward… WOOHOO!!!
I am in a queue at home affairs, the plan is to get a passport. I’ve been here since 8:30 and I am now about 10 people from the front. (In case you’re wondering it’s now 11:30.) I should of brought a book, something like war and peace although thats a bit short. I really do wish I brought my cell’s headset, I could be spending quality time with Katie Melua or listening to one of those really long podcasts about the persons massive mac collection.

Yes! Just moved forward again, only took about 20minutes.

Update: 02/02/2007 20:00

I did finally get to the front of the queue and handed in my forms, they say that I’ll get my passport in 4-6weeks.

Complaints from Readers.

My mother, one of my few regular readers is complaining that the only time I post on this site is when I’m in a car or an airport… now I’ll be the first to admit that of the last 5 posts, 4? (I think, I didn’t count them) of them have been posted while either being in a car or at an airport the simple reason for this is because at that time I had nothing better to do.

I’ll see how things go and try post a little more regularly, either that or travel more 🙂

Eish! She’s broken…

I was playing around with permissions on some folder and managed to break stuff.za.net. Of course I didn’t notice it because I’ve been neglecting this site the last few days as I’ve been busy with other stuff.

I think everything is back to normal, but I’m not entirely sure, a few things may still be out of whack… I am planning on upgrading to the new release of WordPress some time over the next few days and when I do that I’ll make sure everything is working.

Please let me know if you find anything that looks broken.

Blogging on the go.

On my trip back to Cape town this weekend I got kablog working on my cell, this means I’m able to blog on the move.

This post is being posted from my new sony ericsson w850i cell phone from somewhere just outside Mosselbay.

Bug in VBA in Excel?

Excel VBA ScreenshotI’ve been spending a lot of time in Excel’s VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) editor and I’ve found an odd bug. In the main code editor window the scroll wheel on my mouse won’t work. I didn’t realize how much I use that scroll wheel while I’m coding, until it didn’t work.

I’m also pretty sure that the intellisense is buggy or perhaps just not that intelligent.? That’s the problem with getting so used to IDE’s like Visual Studio 2005 and the new Netbeans, is that you come to rely on intellisense and auto completion and those cool drop down box’s too much. Maybe I should go “hardcore” and use emacs or VI or cat, mmmh would have to be notepad on windows…
This is all in Microsoft Excel 2003.
