You’ll see that there’s a new link on the header of this site labelled “Books, DVD’s, CD’s”. This is a list of items that I currently own, I’ll update the list as often as possible and hopefully in the future I’ll write a few reviews about some of the items on the list.
I’m hoping that this will help you my loyal readers get to know me a little better and it helps my friends and family buy me gifts *hint* *hint*.

You know when you hear a piece of music that makes the hairs on your neck standup and you get goose bumps ? Well this is one of those kinds of pieces of music, the difference is that it’s all being played by one person on a single acoustic guitar.

This weekend I went back to George for a short break, a chance to get a few things done that I’ve been meaning todo and a chance to contemplate the general meaning of live, the universe and everything.
I’ve had strange things happen in the past happen to me when travelling from Capetown to George and back again. I’ve been in a bus thats broken every speed limit on the way, been in one that left someone behind, been sandwiched between many a large black women or sat infront of or behind the couple with the screaming baby. On occasions when I’ve travelled with friends we’ve gotten lost, gotten a flat tyre and been stuck in traffic… which nearly double our trip time. This time was no different.
I keep getting told that software design and development is alot like designing a house for someone, I never believed them until now. So what changed my mind? The following story that I found on a website, I’ve copied & pasted it here in case it’s original location passes away.

So I turned 23 this week, on the 21st of June for those of you who forgot.
What amazes me was the number of automated birthday wishes from every forum I’ve got a login for, cell phone providers and banks and almost everything I’ve ever entered my birth date into. In total I got about 30 birthday emails, 1 of which was from a real person (my parents).
So too those of you who wished me happy birthday, Thank you. To those who didn’t, it’s never too late.
